In this post, I am sharing the Confirmed list of Movies and Web-Series releasing in October 2021 on OTT and Cinemas. When situation was not better and cinema was running with 50% capacity and Maharashtra cinema halls were closed producers has no choice to release their films on OTT.
But ever since the government of Maharashtra announced that it’ll reopen cinemas from October 22, there has been a renewed excitement in the industry and trade. The release dates of several films were announced immediately and in no time, the Bollywood calendar got almost packed till next year. However, there are still many films whose announcements are yet to happen.
In this case clashes with big films cannot be averted so it will interesting to how producers and makers of low budget films will release their films. For audiences OTT platforms are like a cinema halls after the lockdown, they are enjoying different contents in form of movies and web-series on different platforms. It will double bonanza for audiences as they can watch the films on OTT as well as cinemas of their choice.
Here I am sharing entire list of movies and web-series releasing this month on OTT and Theatres:
1. Shiddat (Movie)
Release date: 1st October 2021 (Disney Plus Hotstar VIP)
Cast: Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan, Mohit Raina and Diana Penty
Director: Kunal Deshmukh
Details: The movie is about intense, passionate romance between two couples whose stories will run parallel to each other.
2. Break Point (Documentary Series)
Release date: 1st October 2021 (Zee5 Premium)
Cast: Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes
Director: Nitesh Tiwari and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari
Details: This sports drama highlights the untold story of tennis legends Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes from their bromance to their break-up.
3. Venom 2 (Movie)
Release date: 14th October 2021 (In Cinemas)
Cast: Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Scott Reid and Woody Harrelson
Director: Andy Serkis
Details: This is first film releasing this month in cinemas which will release on 14th October and in Maharashtra it will release 22nd October. In the film, Brock tries to reignite his career in journalism by interviewing serial killer Cletus Kasady who becomes the host of the alien symbiote spawn of Venom, named Carnage.
4. Sanak (Movie)
Release date: 15th October (Disney Plus Hotstar VIP)
Cast: Vidyut Jammwal, Rukmini Maitra, NEHA Dhupia and Chandan Roy Sanyal
Director: Kanishk Varma
Details: When love is in danger nothing can stop the rage. A lone hero has set out on a mission of saving the love of his life and other hostages, from the perils of evil! Get ready to see this action thriller dipped in love.
5. Rashmi Rocket (Movie)
Release date: 15th October 2021 (Zee5 Premium)
Cast: Taapsee Pannu, Abhishek Banerjee, Priyanshu Painyuli, Shweta Tripathi Sharma and Supriya Pathak.
Director: Akarsh Khurana
Details: The story revolves around a female athlete whose glory is hindered when she is asked to undergo a gender test. It follows the tale of young girl who finally gets the chance to realize her dream and compete professionally, only to realize that the race to the finish line is peppered with many hurdles.
6. Little Things 4 (Web-Series)
Release date: 15th October 2021 (Netflix)
Cast: Mithila Palkar and Dhruv Sehgal
Director: Ajay Bhuyan, Sumit Arora and Ruchir Arun
Details: This is final season of this romantic comedy. Dhruv & Kavya on their final journey.
7. Honsla Rakh (Movie)
Release date: 15th October 2021 (In cinemas)
Cast: Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Shehnaaz Gill & Shinda Grewal

8. Free Guy (Movie)

Details: In the open world video game Free City, Guy is a non-player character (NPC) working as a bank teller. Thanks to a program developed by programmers Milly and Keys inserted into Free City by the publisher Antoine. Guy becomes aware of his world being a video game, and takes steps to make himself the hero, creating a race against time to save the game before the developers can shut it down.
9. Tabbar (Web-series)

Details: This family drama revolves around this beautiful family who support each other in times of trouble and how they survive the unknown by standing together.
10. Seetimaarr (Movie)

Cast: Aahana Kumra, Ayush Mehra, Rajat Kapoor and Soni Razdan

15. Hum Do Hamare Do (Movie)

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : In my view Sanak, Rashmi Rocket and Sardar Udham are the movies to watch out for this month because watched their trailer and it’s content and story looks great.
