In this post, I am sharing the Confirmed list of Movies and Web-Series releasing in December 2021 on OTT and Cinemas. Now situation is better and cinema was running with 50% capacity in Maharashtra cinema halls and even 100% capacity in few cities so excitement in the industry and trade is back. The release dates of several films were announced immediately and in no time, the Bollywood calendar got almost packed till next year. However, there are still many films whose announcements are yet to happen.
In this case clashes with big films cannot be averted so it will interesting to how producers and makers of low budget films will release their films. For audiences OTT platforms are like a cinema halls after the lockdown, they are enjoying different contents in form of movies and web-series on different platforms. It will double bonanza for audiences as they can watch the films on OTT as well as cinemas of their choice.
Here I am sharing entire list of movies and web-series releasing this month on OTT and Theatres:
1. Tadap (Movie)
Release date: 3rd December 2021 (In Cinemas)
Cast: Ahan Shetty and Tara Sutaria
Director: Milan Luthria
Details: It is official remake of Telugu movie RX 100. Based in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, Ishana meets foreign returned Ramisa. As their passionate romance brews, Ishana falls madly in love with her, but things turn out differently. What seemed to be a straightforward relationship gets hit by the most unexpected storm. Nothing seems to be going right for the star crossed lovers. When things seem almost overwhelming in their finality, Ishana has one more draconian hurdle thrown his way. How he copes with it forms the soul of this incredible love story.
2. Bob Biswas (Movie)
Release date: 3rd December 2021 (Zee5 Premium)
Cast: Abhishek Bachchan and Chitrangada Singh
Director: Diya Annapurna Ghosh
Details: The film explores the life of Bob Biswas, a hitman-for-hire, who finds it difficult to recall his criminal past and experiences moral dilemma after coming out of the coma. It is spin-off story of Kahani movie contract killer character.
3. Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City (Movie)

Details: Release date of this film was postponed for week as earlier it was slated to release on 26th November 2021. Once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. When that evil is unleashed, the townspeople are forever changed. and a small group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.
4. Money Heist 5 Vol 2 (Web-Series)
Release date: 3rd December 2021 (Netflix)

In the events succeeding the initial heist, the group are forced out of hiding and find themselves preparing for a second heist, this time on the Bank of Spain, as they again deal with hostages and police forces. The gang has been in the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours and the Professor is at risk. To make matters worse, a new adversary is coming: the army.

Details: It is about the journey of people like you and me, who inevitably find themselves amidst the chaos of life, only to realise that in the end, it all comes together – it all makes sense. Rishi is a writer/director who is narrating a script close to his heart to Rohini possibly the lead protagonist of his film. As he begins his narration, we step into the world of Rahul, Riya, Rambo and Raju four friends living their best days amusing people with childish shenanigans in school. These four “Vellas” are complete and content with each other’s company and couldn’t care less about the world around them until life hits them in the face. An enthralling script narration on one end, and four immature kids trying to correct a plan gone wrong on the other.
8. Code Name Abdul (Movie)

Details: The series is inspired by events around the 2013 Vyapam scam. The Vyapam scam was an education racket in Madhya Pradesh that was exposed in 2013. It revealed an entire system involving journalists, politicians, bureaucrats and businessmen employing proxies to appear for medical-seat examinations and supplying forged answer sheets by bribing officials. There were nearly 1,700 arrests and more than 50 unnatural deaths in connection with the case.
13. Pushpa The Rise (Movie)

Cast: Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna, Dhanunjay, Rao Ramesh & Ajay Ghosh

Details: The first of two cinematic parts, the plot is based on the red sanders smuggling in the Seshachalam Hills of the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh in which Pushpa Raj is a truck driver and a smuggler who trades and smuggle.

Details: It is a story of a separating couple navigating through the crazy journey that is marriage.
15. 420 IPC (Movie)

16. The Matrix Resurrections (Movie)
