Class Of 83 Movie Review: Watch it for Bobby Deol competent act and some gripping moments
Class of 83 Movie Review: 2.5 stars

Just watched Class of 83 movie on Netflix. So let’s focus on the cast, release date story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this movie.

Cast: Bobby Deol, Anup Soni, Bhupendra Jadawat, Ninad Mahajani, Hitesh Bhojraj, Sameer Paranjape
Director: Atul Sabharwal
Release Date: 21st August 2020 on Netflix

Story: Movie is inspired by journalist S Hussain Zaidi’s non-fiction book The Class of 83: The Punishers of Mumbai Police. Story is about Vijay Singh (Bobby Deol) fetches up on a punishment posting at Nashik’s police training academy. Smarting from the double blow of a personal tragedy and a professional setback, the reluctant dean’s attention is caught by five ‘back-benchers’, Surve, Jadhav, Shukla, Varde and Aslam, with the requisite degree of smarts, loyalty, and a streak of independence.

It is story about senior Mumbai police officer who forms an unauthorized killing squad within the force to shatter the politician-underworld nexus that has made it impossible for honest officers to effectively fight crime.

Positives
1. Bobby Deol and a strong supporting cast with superlative performance
2. Cinematography
3. Few gripping moments

Negatives
1. Direction
2. Screenplay
3. Narrative
4. Climax

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : I personally had very high expectation after watching the trailer even movie have all the ingredients to make a gripping crime drama and recreates a realistic setting, it ends up dishing out a mediocre film.

Strictly one time watch for fresh concept about Mumbai underworld and some gripping moments.
