India won ODI Series against West Indies-cricketmovie.com

CGI United ODI Series 2023: Team India clinch the ODI series against West Indies by registering their 2nd biggest win in terms of run. They won the 3rd and final game by 200 runs and won the series by 2-1 at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad. Now I will share the details of this game in my own way.

3rd ODI (India Vs West Indies)
Game Date: 1st August 2023
Details:
West Indies captain Shai Hope won the toss and elected to bowl first in the 3rd and final ODI game against Team India at Trinidad. Two changes in Indian Team and Ruturaj Gaikwad and Jaydev Unadkat are playing today in the place of Axar Patel and Umran Malik.

Team India scored huge 351/5 in their 50 overs after batting first in this series decider game. On a different pitch to Barbados, the openers laid the platform with 143 on the board and then Samson at 4 came out to attack the spinners to further strengthen the side’s position. But after Samson got out, West Indies made a comeback as they strung quiet overs through their two spinners and slowed down the rate. Shubman Gill fell as a result and Hardik Pandya and SKY took their time to get going. At the end after his fifty, Pandya opened out and the late blitz from the allrounder has given India a big score. Earlier, with the hard new ball the pitch played true and the openers rode on luck and poor West Indies fielding to get their side off to a flying start. This will be a tall chase for West Indies. Shubman Gill scored 85 runs of 92 balls and Ishan Kishan scored 77 runs of 64 balls. For West Indies, Romario Shepherd picked 2 wickets.

West Indies unable to chase down the target and bowled out for just 151 runs in 35.3 overs and lost the game by 200 runs. This was surely the best batting surface of the series, but West Indies still seemed to be nursing the Barbados hangover. They just didn’t turn up during the chase. After conceding 94 off the last 10 overs, they lost the plot completely. Both openers fell cheaply inside 3 overs and skipper Hope soon followed suit, edging a wide delivery to slip and, gifting Mukesh Kumar his third wicket in just his 4th over. The comeback man, Unadkat, nipped out Carty in his first over and left West Indies reeling at 35/4 at the end of 11th over. Then it was the turn of Thakur who dismissed Hetmyer and Shepherd in quick succession. If it weren’t for contributions from Athanze, Cariah and a bit of tail-wagging, the batting card would have looked much worse for the hosts. Gudakesh Motie scored 39* of 34 balls and Alick Athanaze scored 32 runs of 50 balls. For Team India, Shardul Thakur picked 4 wickets for 37 runs in his 6.3 overs.
