Story: Series is inspired from author Ravi Subramaniam book “The Bestseller She Wrote”. Tahir Wazir (Arjan Bajwa) is one of India’s most celebrated novelist has failed to write anything for a long time since his last book became a bestseller 10 years ago. He is under pressure because he doesn’t have a story that will live up to the expectations of readers and his fans. He seems to have hit writer’s block and needs inspiration.

One day he meets a young girl Meetu Mathur (Shruti Haasan) who claims to be his biggest fan. She comes into his life one day seeking his blessing as she has a story and need guidance. He gives her his email id and gets a sample chapter from her. Just a sliver of possibility for his next book pushes him to go against his initial thoughts about her. The moment she mentions that she is from the same town as the one that his previous book was set in, it intrigues him. Something about the way she describes her scars gives him hope. He believes that this fan of his will change his life

On the other hand Tahir wife Mayanka (Gauahar Khan) works in a advertising company as a director but he jealous over her success and creativity. Parth Acharya (Satyajeet Dubey) joins his team as intern seems to have something vicious planned for Tahir. His one of fan on social media warned not to write the book but Tahir does not take it seriously. Meetu is the first victim nd with the unwanted attention of this fan, Tahir finds that his life is now upside down.

Tahir is unable to ask Meetu the rest of her story which will ultimately help him complete his book. As his life is unravelling and he is losing control Tahir is overwhelmed and no one including Mayanka and the investigating CID officer ACP Lokesh Paramanik (Mithun Chakraborty) are able to figure out the motive of this new fan who is Mayanka new intern Parth. Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I have watched the trailer of this series planned to watch in free time as it looks intriguing drama and I always loved this genre and other reason was good star cast.

Tahir Wazir, one of India’s most celebrated novelist has failed to write anything for a long time since his last book became a bestseller 10 years ago. He seems to have hit writer’s block and needs inspiration. Meetu Mathur, a young, innocent girl comes into his life one day seeking his blessing. She is his huge fan, a writer herself, and she needs his guidance. Tahir finds the needed inspiration in her life’s story and starts writing his next novel based on it. About the same time, Parth Acharya joins his wife Mayanka, a celebrated ad film director as her assistant but seems to have something vicious planned for Tahir Wazir. What starts off as a simple war of words leads to chaos, drama, and death. As the events unfold, ACP Lokesh steps in to investigate and unravel the mystery. Will Tahir be able to write another bestseller?

The problem with Bestseller is not its story, which has its heart in the right place. It’s with everything else from the direction and the acting to the countless plot holes. A good thriller keeps the audience guessing but it chooses to reveal its biggest twist with four episodes still to go. By the next episode, even the motivation behind the mystery is out. After that, it’s just a question of delaying the inevitable. Overall half baked thriller with good story but poor execution. My View on this web-series Recommended but for only 4 episodes till the suspense reveal.
