Durgesh Tiwary’s View: When I watched the trailer of this web-series, planned to watch this series in my free time as loved the trailer and always liked cop dramas.

Adapted from the German series Bad Cop: Kriminell Gut, Bad Cop hinges on the polar opposite personalities and lives of twin brothers, a no-nonsense cop and a foxy thief. A dramatic twist throws their worlds into chaos, altering the course of their lives forever.

Bad Cop plot is interesting and after the tense ending of the first episode and the second episode gets even better. He also has an interesting star cast which adds value to the show. A mass entertainer with high-octane action sequences, quirky villains, and thrilling cop-versus-criminal showdowns. While the premise of mistaken identity involving twins is familiar, the eight-part series presents weaves together multiple tracks and plotlines. Each 35-minute episode attempts to juggle these various plotlines. While the pacing is brisk, the short runtime hinders in-depth exploration, making the narrative sketchy for most of the series. Character development and emotional arcs take a backseat as the series prioritizes action and plot twists. The series has a high production value, some good action sequences even though not all of them are well polished they look great on screen. The show also has a good background score which tries to pump you up for the next on liner or the twist.

On the flipside, the show is not convincing. It’s difficult to digest that Devika doesn’t realize that she has brought home Arjun and not Karan. Also, the track of Arif pained by the death of his friend seems superficial. It stars out well, but it isn’t enough for the audience to keep going after the first four episodes even when the total episodes are just eight. Overall, series make for a good watch and keep viewers intrigued enough to catch the rest of the episodes. It isn’t about a gritty concept or a gripping narrative. It’s a high-octane action ride with a dash of humor for viewers seeking a quick and entertaining escape. My view on this series Recommended
