Bangladesh scored only 122/8 in their 20 overs. The final flurry never really came for Bangladesh. Not that a lot of it was expected on this pitch but still. They started off with refreshing intent though, hammering 43 off the first five overs but once the Aussies got their lengths and variations on point, the run rate fell off the cliff. Only 79 came off the next 90 balls, including 20 off the final 30 deliveries. This should tell you all that you need to know about the surface which once again played ultra-slow, offered spin and also favoured the change-of-pace in a big way. Naim top-scored with 23 and it tells you that none of the hosts’ batters were able to bat deep. Bangladesh did threaten to get past 140 at one stage but eventually fell well short of it. Australia’s bowlers were spot-on in their execution. This target will still be competitive as we’ve seen all series and with this Australian side not that great against slow bowling or on slow pitches, it’s still game on. Mohammad Naim scored 23 of 23 balls and skipper Mahmudullah scored 19 of 14 balls. For Australia Nathan Ellis and Daniel Christian pick 2 wickets each.
Nathan Ellis and Dan Christian claim two wickets each as Australia restrict Bangladesh to 122/8.

Australia unable to chased down the target and all out for just 62 runs in 13.4 overs and lost the fame by 60 runs and series by 1-4. First ever series win for Bangladesh against Australia in any format. The amount of glee that has been spread over the last week thanks to this effort from the Bangladeshi side who have been fantastic throughout the series. This has been a monumental effort. The Aussies’ auditioning process for the T20 WC seems to have yielded nothing. They were drubbed in the Caribbean and have been drubbed here. Hardly apart from Mitch Marsh has anyone been a standout performer. Thus they are back to square one and have too much food for thought as the T20 WC looms ahead. Skipper Matthew Wade scored 22 of 22 balls and Ben McDermott scored 17 of 16 balls. For Bangladesh Shakib Al Hasan pick 3 wickets for just 9 runs in his 3.4 overs.
