Atkan Chatkan Movie Review: Film celebrates the spirit of childhood
Atkan Chatkan Movie Rating: 2.5 stars
Just watched Atkan Chatkan movie on Zee5 Premium . So let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this movie.
Cast: Lydian Nadhaswaram, Sachin Chaudhary, Yash Rane, Tamanna Dipak Aayesha Vindhara, Amitriyaan
Director: Shiv Hare
Release Date: 5th September 2020 (On Zee5 Premium)
Story: The story of Atkan Chatkan is about a young boy Guddu (Lydian Nadhaswaram) who loves music and works hard all day to make both ends meet. Despite not knowing anything about the musician he aspires to become one. How he overcomes every hurdle in his way to become a successful percussionist.
Before watching this movie I was not aware about Lydian Nadhaswaram who is a talented singer/musician in real life also among the best children’s pianists in the world and AR Rahman’s protege.
One of the best moments of the film occur at the beginning when Guddu (Lydian Nadhaswaram) asks Madhav (Yash Rane) what does the term ‘musician’ mean. When Madhav explains it to him in Hindi (संगीतकार), Guddu wonders how can he be one, if he cannot even spell the word. Madhav shows him a balloon and says, “Can a balloon spell his name? But it knows how to fly.
Positives
1. Lydian Nadhaswaram and a strong supporting cast which superlative performance
2. Story
3. Music
Negatives
1. Duration of the movie
2. Execution
3. Unnecessary drama and excessive characters
Durgesh Tiwary’s View : I like inspiring movies which motivates me to follow the dream. This movie also about a boy and his dreams.
First half is very interesting but second half is tedious, hackneyed and predictable but still should be watched with entire family, because of its adorable cast and it inspires us to never give up on our dreams, no matter what hindrances come in our way. Recommended!!
