Pakistan scored 127/9 in their 20 overs after batting first. Shaheen’s 16-ball 33 has injected some life into this game when it was going heavily one-sided. Pakistan lost a couple of early wickets after which Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman managed to rebuild for a wee bit. But Axar struck twice in two overs before Kuldeep’s double-strike in the same over derailed the Pakistani innings. They were trying to be aggressive but just couldn’t find a way to score consistently. 100 seemed difficult at one point but some clean, sensational hitting from Shaheen has ensured they have got some score to fight. Still well under-par though as the pitch is expected to play better under lights. Sahibzada Farhan scored 40 runs of 44 balls and Shaheen Afridi scored 33* runs of 16 balls. For Team India, Kuldeep Yadav picked 3 wickets for 18 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Team India chased down the target in 15.5 overs by scoring 131/3 and won the game by 7 wickets. Another easy chase and off go the players inside. No post-match handshakes between the two teams. Without early wickets, 128 was always going to be tough to defend. Abhishek Sharma showed his intentions first ball as he charged Shaheen and hit him straight down the ground for four. The tone was set and even though India lost three wickets and all to Saim Ayub, the chase was never in doubt. The ball skidded on nicely and the trio of Abrar, Sufiyan Muqeem and Mohammad Nawaz were totally outbawled by the Indian spinners. Clear gulf in quality between the two sides and India notch up a dominant win over Pakistan, further strengthening their recent supremacy over them in this format. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav scored 47* of 37 balls and Abhishek Sharma scored 31 runs of 13 balls. For Pakistan, Saim Ayub picked all 3 wickets for 35 runs in his 4 overs quota.
