AK vs AK Movie Review: One of the best innovative movie with unique script, gripping moments and incredible performances

Just watched AK vs AK movie on Netflix. So let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this movie.

Story: It is the story of a rivalry between a director and a filmmaker which takes a horrible turn. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap (Anurag Kashyap) arrives at a venue for a discussion on cinema with actor Anil Kapoor (Anil Kapoor). Before the discussion, both meet backstage. Anurag is accompanied with Yogita (Yogita Bihani), who’s making a documentary on the life of Anurag and shooting everything on her camera.
As they roast each other over who’s a bigger AK, Kashyap ends up splashing water on Kapoor’s face. The video goes viral and Anurag gets shunned from the industry. Anurag is saddened by the cold shoulder meted out to him. At this juncture, Yogita gives him an idea to get back at Anil and also to get back his career on track. Anurag loves it and decides to set it in motion. This leads to Kashyap executing a plan of kidnapping Anil’s daughter Sonam (Sonam Kapoor).
The plan is shooting Anil as he’s on this quest of finding Sonam and making a film of that. The rules Anurag states are: No Police, the camera will always be rolling and always takes the calls on speakers because “audience ko monologue samajta nahi hai.” Anil’s star in him doesn’t let him believe what Anurag is saying, but the actor in him overpowers that doing everything he can to save his daughter. What happens next forms the rest of the film.

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : > When I watched the trailer was very impressed for it’s unique concept and always planned to watch this movie but never thought movie will so amazing.
I can easily say it is one the most experimental movie made in Bollywood so far. A movie in a movie and they way they have made is really incredible. One of the best scenes from AK vs AK is towards the pre-climax. Anil Kapoor is in a distraught state, he needs help from anyone who can offer it to him, he steps up the stage in a middle class locality and tries to address the public that has gathered for Christmas revelries. But even before he can actually lay down his problems, the crowd wants just one thing from him.
As for Anurag Kashyap, he does promise a sequel in the last scene which I am keenly waiting to see what new is stored for us. Overall watch this movie for it’s brilliant concept, acting and direction by ignoring few minuses. My view Highly Recommended.
