Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Season 2 Web Series Rating: 4 Stars
Watched Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Season 2 Web Series on Netflix. So, let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this web series.
Cast: Tahir Raj Bhasin, Shweta Tripathi, Anchal Singh, Saurabh Shukla, Arunoday Singh, Brijendra Kala and Gurmeet Choudhary
Director: Siddharth Sengupta

Story: In the 1st season Vikrant (Tahir Raj Bhasin) marry with Purva (Anchal Singh) who is the obsessive daughter of a powerful politician Akheraj (Saurabh Shukla) in a desperate bid to escape her clutches. Things spiral out of control when he hires an assassin Jalan (Arunoday Singh) to kill her in the hope to be with his love Shikha (Shweta Tripathi). The season ended with Purva’s kidnapping and a massive ransom demand of Rs 100 crore.
The story picks up where season 1 ended. Vikrant is doing his best to ensure Jalan doesn’t spill out the truth about Purva’s kidnapping while also trying to convince Akheraj to give the ransom money. On the other hand, Shikha gets married to Akhil Bhatnagar (Nikhil Pandey). Dharmesh (Surya Sharma) reaches Shikha’s marriage venue to finish her. But things don’t go as planned.
Akheraj asked his London based friend to send Guru (Gurmeet Choudhary) who is a sharp agent from an intelligence agency and friend of Purva who steps in to help her. He and Purva spent considerable time together before she came back to her hometown. He immediately gets suspicious of Vikrant and has strong reasons to believe that he’s behind her abduction.
Meanwhile Sherpa (Varun Badola) asked Jalan to handover Purva to him and in the exchange, he is ready to pay him more money for which he agreed. What happened to Dharmesh? What happened to Purva? Who is Shrepa and why is behind Akheraj and Purva. What happened to Vikrant and Shikha love story. Watch this series to know the answers.

Durgesh Tiwary’s View: When I watched the trailer of this web-series, planned to watch this series on premiere day as liked the 1st part of the series. In the second season, Vikrant continues his desperate struggle to escape the obsessive grip of Purva while trying to reignite his love for Shikha. As new, more dangerous players enter the picture, Vikrant’s mission to free himself becomes even more complex and perilous, heightening the stakes of his already twisted love story.
Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein 2 story revolves around the driving force of obsession in people’s lives, while love appears to have lost its voice. The first season amazed us with its pulpy nature and dark themes returns with its second season, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats with each twist and turn. The show masterfully blends psychological thriller elements with dark humor and high-octane action. It crafts a thrilling script that delves deep into the characters’ motivations, especially Vikrant’s transformation from a helpless victim to a man who resorts to extreme measures to protect his loved ones. Every episode is full of unexpected twists that keep the audience at the edge of their seats. Visually, series remains stunning as it captures breathtaking shots of snow-capped mountains and picturesque locations. The slick action sequences we have seen in big-budget Bollywood films. Shivam Anuj’s background score amplifies the intensity of the drama, while the iconic title track—a recreated version of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s classic song ‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein’ by Anu Malik and Dev Kohli—becomes an unforgettable earworm. Creator and director Sidharth Sengupta direction is razor-sharp, skillfully introducing new characters while maintaining the series’ thrilling pace. The narrative never feels stretched, keeping viewers on edge without giving them a moment to breathe. Tahir’s narration during crucial scenes certainly adds up.
The season concludes on another cliffhanger, mirroring the Shakespearean theme that opens the series: “The course of true love never did run smooth.” This encapsulates the tumultuous relationship between Vikrant and Purva, leaving the audience eagerly awaiting the next chapter. Tahir Raj Bhasin is brilliant as Vikrant. He is everywhere. But not for a moment would you feel overwhelmed by his presence. If you were impressed by his acting skills in the first season, wait till you watch the new season. The depth and nuance he brought to his character are genuinely praiseworthy. Gurmeet is the newest addition to the cast and does a great job with his screen presence. On the flipside, just like in the first season, there are far too many cinematic liberties. In fact, a few developments defy logic, and, in some places, it gets too much. The entire Beta Blocker scene sounds interesting on paper, but it is quite far-fetched. Another issue is the climax. Yet again, the season ends on a cliffhanger but this time, it leaves you with too many unanswered questions and it might not be appreciated by a section of the moviegoers.
Overall, series is a gripping continuation of the tale of love, obsession, and survival. With its compelling performances, intricate plot, and sharp direction, the show keeps the audience invested until the end. If the twisted dynamics of Season 1 captured your attention, this season promises an even bloodier and more intense journey. Even if you have not watched the 1st season watch this one as it’s of the best sequel I have ever seen especially in romantic thriller. My view on this series Highly Recommended.
