Story: Fast X is the sequel to F9: The Fast Saga, the first part of the final installment in the mainline Fast & Furious franchise and the eleventh installment overall.

It begins with an exhilarating car chase sequence from Fast and Furious 5 film where a prominent character Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa) makes a brief appearance. He is son of drug lord Hernan Reyes and seeking revenge against Dom (Vin Diesel) and his family for the loss of his family’s fortune during the events of Fast Five.

The focus then shifts to present where Dom is having great time with his family that includes wife Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), son Brian (Leo Abelo Perry) and his gang members Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson), Tej Parker (Ludacris), Mia (Jordana Brewster), Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel) and Han (Sung Kang).

Roman informs his team that they have got a mission in Rome from Little Nobody (Scott Eastwood). Roman expresses a desire to lead the mission and he’s joined by Tej, Ramsey and Han. After they leave Cipher (Charlize Theron) reached Dom house in an injured state and informs them that Dante is out to seek revenge on him and his gang.

Realizing that it’s a setup and that their lives are in danger, Dominic, Letty and Little Nobody head to Rome immediately. Dante knew that Dominic would arrive at the Italian city to save his gang members. He unleashes an evil plan which makes Dominic and all the gang members the most wanted criminals in the world. How Dom save his family from Dante is all about this movie.

Durgesh Tiwary’s View: When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie in cinemas on first day because big fan of this franchise and watched all movies.

Dominic Toretto must protect his crew and family from Dante Reyes, the son of drug lord Hernan Reyes, seeking revenge for the loss of his family’s fortune from the heist in Rio de Janeiro.

Fast X is an engaging story which moves at a fast pace. The screenplay except initials scenes is full of twists and turns and it, therefore keeps you hooked till the cliffhanger climax. The chase and action scenes as well as the stunts are nothing short of daredevilry. Overall, the drama is so exciting that you will get completely engrossed and entertained. However, there is not a single novelty factor and watching one film in the series is as good as watching them all. Not that some other successful franchises haven’t taken the same route, but F&F series is nearing its end and you want them to take that VRS. While the first half has some spectacular action sequences, the second half pales in comparison. The cinematic liberties are also too many, which might not be liked by a section of the audiences.

The 140-minute film is punched with several action sequences which work. At least in most parts. Once you park your brain outside, it is easy to laugh over the sequences and feel the energy and adrenaline rush that lights up the screen. When the film is not serving action, the fault of its lead actor, Vin Diesel, to pull off emotional and vulnerable scenes can be noticed. The film ends thrillingly, with the promise that the eleventh part will be hopefully bigger and better. Vin Diesel and Jason Momoa rocks the show. But Jason is really the star of the movie. He impressed with his over-the-top flamboyant persona. He adds humor in the most serious scenes, and it is easy to see how he single-handedly elevates the movie’s interest. A hero cannot shine without a powerful villain. Dante is oh-so-powerful.

There is enough fan-service in the movie for F&F regulars, but the plot is way too predictable. The climax ends on a cliff hanger, to be a setup for the sequel arriving in 2025. Also, wait for the post-credits’ scene, a pleasant surprise awaits. If you don’t mind a cycle of preposterous action sequences loaded with VFX not allowing a moment of calm, Fast X delivers exactly what it promises. My view on this movie Highly Recommended for franchise lovers.
