Story: It is an official remake of the Kannada movie of same name which revolves around a journalist who gets into trouble while chasing a story.
Set in Chandigarh, Radhika Bakshi (Alaya F) is an intern reporter who wants to crack the story about traffic offenders who disrupt the divider and take a U-turn on the double lane flyover. Her colleague Aditya Iyer (Ashim Gulati) is assisting her and secretly loves her as well but unable to express.
The accidents happen because motorcyclists regular shift the divider blocks to take illegal u-turns on the flyover, and then leave them strewn on the road, causing fatal accidents. Even while Radhika solves this mystery, she is shocked to find that of late that all those people who illegally take the U-turn commit suicide soon thereafter.
Inspector Arjun Sinha (Priyanshu Painyuli) got to know while investigating that Radhika is deeply committed to bringing the culprits to book as she lost her brother Raghav (Dev Dembla) in a road accident, caused by an irresponsible motorist. She finds herself in a precarious predicament that makes her the prime suspect in one of the murders.
Will she be able to prove her innocence while also assisting the investigating officers Arjun, Inderjeet Singh Dhillon (Manu Rishi Chadha) and Surrinder Kumar Yadav (Shreedhar Dubey) in solving the case?

Durgesh Tiwary’s View: When I watched the trailer of this film planned to watch this movie in free time as story looks different and have not watched the original movie.
The film revolves around motorists who move concrete blocks from the divider to take a U-turn, which causes several accidents. It charts the story of a news intern named Radhika, who ends up being a primary suspect in a series of murders while working on a news story.
U Turn original story is thrilling and also subtly informs viewers about the dangers of breaking traffic laws. Screenplay is fine till a certain point but the writing, after a point, is too unconvincing and defies logic. Arif debut as direction is decent and he keeps the duration in check and has handled some scenes deftly like Radhika’s police interrogation, the drama at the lawyer’s house or the twin deaths in the police lockup. It is paced well and is gripping too, barring a couple of instances where the writing could have been slightly better. The film’s unpredictability is its biggest strength. When you know that you are getting a hang of it, it surprises you with something that changes your views on the matter, completely. The suspense of the film is well kept, and the finale is satisfying too. Those who haven’t watched the Kannada original or the Telugu remake, may enjoy watching the Hindi version. Performances specially by Alaya F is excellent and she is getting better from each film.
On the negative side, it’s the second half where the film falls. The scenes of Radhika getting spooked are clichéd and this is where the film drags. The climax is unpredictable and different from the one in the original version. However, it lacks logic and will leave audiences bewildered. The makers should have attempted to tie the loose ends for a better impact. This mystery thriller that deals with the consequences of traffic violations adds a topical and relevant element to the story while also acting as a useful reminder to always follow the rules of the road for your own and others’ safety.
Overall, movie is a well-paced film with a gripping narrative and good acting performances. There are a few minor issues with the writing at a few instances, but it is surely worth a watch for those who haven’t watched the original film. However, the hard-to-digest developments in the climax will leave viewers disappointed big time. My view on this movie Time Pass for those who have not watched the original.
