Director: Sachin Pathak
Release Date: 23rd December 2022 on Sony LIV
Duration: 6 Episodes/ 35 Minutes
Story: This is sequel of the same series. While the first season of this show that was released was inspired by events from the 1993 Bombay blasts, the second edition depicts the events of the infamous IC 814 hijacking case from December 1999.
The second season picks up five years after the events of the preceding season. Shivani Bhatnagar (Aksha Pardasany) getting a phone call from a man who wants to share a piece of crucial information that could be related to a national threat. At first, she doesn’t take him seriously; however, while listening to his message on the landline phone, she witnesses that he was killed while recording this message and then understands the depth of the information.
As a dedicated investigative journalist, Shivani leaves her home to get into the roots of the whole fiasco, which may be the reason for India’s destruction. She departs for Kathmandu after getting the leads on the hijacking of the IS-814 that is set to take place to create a ruckus at the forthcoming Indo-Pak peace summit in Nepal.
Sunny Sharma (Anshuman Pushkar) who landed in prison after surrendering himself in the last season, helps the love of his life Shivani to meet the right people in Kathmandu. Her leads take her to Wajid (Prashanth Narayan), the conspiracy’s mastermind. There is Intelligence agent Tasneem (Harleen Sethi) also in Kathmandu to ensure the IND-PAK summit happens successfully.
Shivani is in trouble and is in Wajid’s clutches. Sunny escapes prison and reaches Nepal for her rescue. SP Shravan Mishra (Anurag Arora) is given the responsibility to catch him. On the other hand, Samar Kaushik (Amit Sial) is no longer part of the force and lives a simple life by running a café in the hill station. But, as soon as he detects a red flag, he mobilizes his former right-hand man Mishra Ji and the two begin investigating the case to catach Sunny.
All leads take them to Kathmandu. Sunny is looking for Shivani, Samarth and Mishra Ji is looking for Sunny. Wajid is planning something big in IND-PAK summit and Tasneem has to stop the conspiracy. Will they be able to expose the conspiracy, or will Wajid succeed in destroying Hindustan as planned?

Durgesh Tiwary’s View: When I watched the trailer of this web-series it looks interesting and planned to watch on premiere day because loved the 1st season and always loved thrillers based on true incidents
It’s been 5 years, Shivani Bhatnagar has been working for a London based media house. She chances upon some secret documents that are directly linked to the IC-814 hijack and a possible national security threat for India. Everything links back to Kathmandu this time as well. Shivani reaches Kathmandu and with the help of incarcerated Sunny Sharma comes very close to exposing the actual conspiracy. The unexpected happens; begins the cat and mouse chase. Will Shivani be successful in unravelling the plan? Will Samarth Kaushik use Shivani as a bait this time as well?
This six-part series majorly gets into the entire Indo-Pak feud and terrorism. Thankfully, the story is handled delicately and does not incite unwarranted animosity. However, there are too many parallel storylines and the action shifts from Kathmandu to Dubai and Agra. Occasionally, keeping track of every character and their actions becomes challenging. Other than that, this season moves quickly and keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time with some shocking but unexpected plot twists. Every episode is intense and packed with drama and action, but the climax pulls it all together and ends on a cliffhanger, leaving plenty of room for the next season.
The concept is not novel, but the performances are great. The title track and the intense background score enhance the drama’s impact. The plot of the show is clear in the first episode itself; however, multiple incidents taking place at different places at the same time keep you hooked. Not only India and Nepal, but an important part of the show also takes place in Dubai and showcases how Wajid plans the hijacking and a few more incidents to stop the Indo-Pak peace summit that is set to happen. Overall, series is excellent watch owing to the enthralling performances by the actors, eargasmic background score, unpredictable twists and bends and how it assimilates real-life events into a fictional setup. There is also a dash of sporadic action sequences and the cliffhanger after the climax will satiate you. My view on this web-series is Highly Recommended.
