Road Safety World Series 2022 complete schedule has been announced. The mega-event which features retired cricketers will start this Saturday at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Sachin Tendulkar‘s India Legends will battle Jonty Rhodes South Africa Legends in the opening match of the Road Safety World Series 2022.

The 2022 Road Safety World Series is the second season of an international T20 cricket league, which will feature former international cricketers and is organized by the Road Safety World Series (RSWS) to raise awareness about road safety. New Zealand Legends are the new entrants this edition. The T20 Series is supported by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Here is the complete schedule of this T20 cricket:

Initially, the second season was supposed to be held in India and the UAE from 5th February 2022, but it was entirely moved to the UAE and scheduled to start from March 1st to March 19th, 2022 because the number of positive cases rose due to Omicron variant in India.[4][5] The tournament suffered a setback when Sachin Tendulkar pulled out of the tournament as he did not receive his payment from the first season along with players from Bangladesh like Khaled Mahmud, Khaled Mashud, Mehrab Hossain, Rajin Saleh, Hannan Sarkar and Nafees Iqbal as they also did not receive any payments from the previous season. The payments were eventually received by the players and the tournament was scheduled to be hosted in the last week of May and June across Lucknow, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Indore. It was further scheduled to be hosted from June 4th till July 3rd in Lucknow, Indore and Jodhpur, but it was eventually postponed for another 3 months due to a conflict in MoU between the organizers.

The series was finally announced with Sachin Tendulkar returning as the captain of India Legends in the second edition and the addition of New Zealand Legends team led by Ross Taylor. The Road Safety World Series 2022 fixture list consists of five double-headers. The league stage of the competition will take place from September 10 to 27. Kanpur will host the first seven matches. The action will then move to Indore for the next five matches while Dehradun will play host to six games. Raipur’s Shaheed Veer Narayan Stadium will host the final two matches of the league stage as well as the semi-final and the final. Viacom 18 is the official broadcasting partner of the tournament. Colors Cineplex, Colors Cineplex Superhits, and Sports18 will broadcast all the games of the tournament, and live streaming will be available on Voot and Jio TV.

The season will see legends from Indian cricket like Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Harbhajan Singh and many more will be seen playing. Virender Sehwag is not playing this season. The tournament will take place in four cities: Kanpur, Indore, Dehradun, and Raipur. September will mark the beginning of the second season, while October will mark the start of the final leg of the tournament. As many as 23 matches will take place in the second edition with the defending champions India Legends looking to emulate their last year’s performance and clinch the trophy the second time in a row.
