Team India scored huge 211/4 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. what an interesting innings that! This pitch had massive turn, the ball seamed around a lot for the pacers too and it never looked like a 200 wicket initially, but it’s a belter for batters if the bowler is erring on the fuller side. This is a very small ground and with evidence that six-hitting is quite possible you won’t feel safe even with 230. India were off to a great start as both Ishan and Ruturaj rode their luck to stitch a 50+ opening stand. Although Shreyas slowed down in the second half of his innings, he did his part by taking on spinners in the middle overs. Ishan went severe on Keshav before holing out. Pant swung his bat around for a handy innings and then Hardik showed his swag with the bat donning the finisher’s role to perfection. Nortje bowled a great last over to keep it to 211. South Africa will be disappointed with that total, but they do know if the Indian bowlers miss their mark they are right in this contest. Ishan Kishan scored 76 runs of 48 balls and Shreyas Iyer scored 36 runs of 27 balls. For South Africa, Maharaj, Nortje, Parnell & Pretorius pick 1 wicket each.
𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸!

South Africa chased down the target successfully by scoring 212/3 in 19.1 overs. What an outstanding run chase this is from South Africa and the dressing room is all pumped up. An unbeaten 131-run stand off just 63 balls to take the Proteas home. The visitors were under pressure right after the powerplay. The pressure increased further with RvD playing dots after dots. But nothing stopped Miller at the other end. Continued his great form and smacked a 22-ball fifty. Meanwhile a broken bat changed RvD’s life today. He started middling the ball and looked like a different batter once he changed the bat and Miller took the back seat to see his partner unleash on the Indian bowlers. India had 12 consecutive wins in T20Is and needed one more for the world record and they weren’t good enough with the ball today. Rassie van der Dussen scored 75* runs of 46 balls and David Miller score 64* runs of 31 balls. For Team India, Bhuvi, Axar Patel & Harshal Patel pick 1 wicket each.
That's that from the 1st T20I.
South Africa win by 7 wickets and go 1-0 up in the 5 match series.#TeamIndia will look to bounce back in the 2nd T20I.
