Rajasthan Royals scored 130/3 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. GT have more than one hand on the trophy at this stage. What a bowling performance to keep RR to 130 which is miles short on this wicket. Hardik led the way after coming onto bowl. Till then RR were doing fine with Buttler and Samson at the crease. His spell of 3-17 which included the wickets of Samson, Buttler and Hetmyer broke the back of the innings and from that RR never recovered. Earlier, Jaiswal got off to a quick start but went after a cameo. Buttler was looking to anchor the innings but he was frustrated by GT’s tight bowling and eventually nicked one behind. Rashid Khan as he always does was superb as well in the middle and GT came out with a team performance. There is assistance for the spinners as Rashid turned his googlies quite a bit, but unless RR pull off a bowling performance unlike anything they have done this season, this final is heading just one way. Jos Buttler scored 39 runs of 35 balls and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 22 runs of 16 balls. For GT, Hardik Pandya pick 3 wickets for 17 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Gujarat Titans chased down the target successfully by scoring 133/3 in 18.1 overs and won the game by 7 wickets. Gujarat take the crown in front of a roaring home crowd in Ahmedabad! The players rush onto the field and the fireworks go off! Amid all the delirium is Hardik Pandya who looks like the calmest person in the vicinity right now. A remarkable season as a captain for him, leading the Titans brilliantly, and particularly today on the big day where he put in an all-round shift, setting it up with the ball and leading them out of a tricky phase in the chase. Gill played his role as an anchor, and there was David Miller in the end to finish it off as well. What a season for him. What a season for Rahul Tewatia. You could say that for a number of their players, all of them pulling their weight to ensure that a team that was unfancied at the start has gone all the way. Let’s hear from the players themselves, we have plenty of interviews lined up. Shubman Gill scored 45* runs of 43 balls and Skipper Hardik Pandya score 34 runs of 30 balls. For RR, Boult, Krishna & Chahal picks 1 wicket each.
