GT beat KKR by 8 runs in Tata IPL 2022-cricketmovie.com

Tata IPL: GT all round performance led their team to top the points table again. They won the game against KKR by 8 runs in the 35th game of IPL 2022. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

35th game (Gujarat Titans Vs Kolkata Knight Riders)
Game Date: 23rd April 2022
Details:
Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bat first in the 35th game of IPL 2022 against Kolkata Knight Riders at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai. GT has one change and skipper Pandya comes back in the place of Vijay Shankar.

KKR has 3 forced changes and they have included Tim Southee, Sam Billings and Rinku Singh in the place of Aaron Finch, Pat Cummins and Sheldon Jackson

Gujarat Titans scored 156/9 runs in their 20 overs after batting first. Brilliant comeback by KKR. Gujarat lost their way completely in the final four overs. They lost their last 7 wickets for just 23 runs. Mavi started the slump with the wicket of Miller and then Southee got the big one to put Gujarat back. Hardik came in at No. 3 and played brilliantly alongside Saha as the duo bailed the team out with a solid 75-run stand for the second wicket. Miller too played well, but we did see shot making was so difficult when pace is taken off. Gujarat do have a good bowling line for this in-between target they have got. KKR will be hoping Narine gets them off to a flier because batting won’t be easy once the ball is old. Skipper Hardik Pandya scored 67 runs of 49 balls and David Miller scored 27 runs of 20 balls. For KKR, Andre Russell pick 4 wickets for 5 runs in his only over.

Kolkata Knight Riders unable to chased the target and scored 148/8 in their 20 overs and lost the game by 8 runs. GT hold on and take their spot back at the top of the table. Only 156 on the board from them today, and still their bowlers have gone out and defended it, aided by some stunning work in the field. How crucial were those two catches from Manohar and especially Ferguson there in the final over with Russell raising hell out there. KKR were in trouble early in the chase, after an excellent opening spell from Mohammed Shami and Ferguson himself. Lost four wickets with just 34 on the board, but they fought back through Rinku Singh and later Russell, only to fall a few runs shy. There was too much to do for Russell at the back end, after Rashid bowled a tight spell in the middle to go along with the efforts of the pacers. Andre Russell scored 48 runs of 25 balls and Rinku Singh score 35 runs of 28 balls. For GT, Yash Dayal, Shami & Rashid Khan pick 2 each.
