Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I have watched the trailer of this series planned to watch on premiere day because loved the both seasons and this one also looked very interesting like previous seasons.
Gullak Season 3 picks up from where it was left in the previous one. After Aman Mishra, the youngest Mishra tops his board exams, the family is worried about his Class 11 admissions. And their biggest concern, like any normal middle-class family, is money. Thankfully, Annu Mishra who failed his exam in the first season and was seen buttering a local politician to get a gas agency in the second, has finally secured a job. So, now, being the second earning member of the Mishra family, along with Shanti Mishra’s tehri and sarcasm, he is also served respect, something that is of great value in a middle-class household.
Probably every middle-class household in India relates to the Gullak, an earthenware piggybank where money in small denominations is kept aside saved for a rainy day. Similar to this earthenware piggybank, this feel-good, slice-of-life series is a collection of everyday experiences of the Mishra’s living in a small town in Northern India. The show documents the everyday relatable experiences of a small town. The Mishra clan delivers a beautiful medley of emotions, disagreements, aspirations, and struggles. Amidst all the arguments, their undying love and support for each other keep them tied as one happy family.
But the hero, at the end is the show, the omniscient narrator who makes deep observational commentary in an easy-going and light-hearted manner. Voiced by Shivankit Singh, Gullak perfectly sums up the intentions behind the episodes, and more often than not, it’s served like some food for thought. It brings back the feel good factor with a pinch of nostalgia and a tablespoon full of emotions. This a broth you must relish without asking many questions, because the smile it leaves you with will answer all of them. Overall It follows the same format as the previous two installments and strives to be as realistic towards the audience as possible. Despite some dramatic and serious parts to the story, this family drama is a worthy successor to its predecessors and will undoubtedly leave us smiling in the end. My View on this web-series Highly Recommended.
