RCB beat KKR by 3 wickets in IPL 2022-cricketmovie.com

Tata IPL: RCB beat KKR by 3 wickets in the 6th game of IPL 2022. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

6th game (Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Kolkata Knight Riders)
Game Date: 30th March 2022
Details:
Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf Du Plessis won the toss and elected to bowl first in the 6th game of IPL 2022 against Kolkata Knight Riders at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai.

Kolkata Knight Riders bowled out for 128 runs in 18.5 overs. Not sure what KKR’s strategy with the bat tonight was starting from Nitish Rana. After the openers were dismissed due to hard lengths into the pitch, Rana came in and tried to hit his way to glory. The others followed the same plan and the result was a shambles with Russell coming in at 8 after the 9th over with Hasaranga on a hat-trick. He hit a couple of sixes but fell to Harshal Patel. The last wicket pair added 27 runs to save face for KKR. RCB meanwhile used the pitch to good effect with the seamers focussing on hard lengths while Hasaranga profited from three gifts and one good googly to get a four-fer. Should be an easy chase, but let’s see what RCB can do with the bat in hand. Andre Russell scored 25 of 18 balls and Umesh Yadav scored 18 of 12 balls. For RCB Wanindu Hasaranga pick 4 wickets for 20 runs in his 4 overs quota.

Royal Challengers Bangalore chased down the target successfully in 20th over by scoring 132/7 and won the game by 3 wickets. RCB have huffed and puffed to go over the line. They though never imagined that they would be three down in the first three overs as Umesh Yadav and Southee bowled with immaculate control. Rutherford and Willey then batted sensibly and mitigated any further damage. But once both were gone and the cameo from Shahbaz had ended prematurely, it was left to Dinesh Karthik. Yes, the former KKR skipper. He almost survived a tragic run-out to take RCB over the line alongside Harshal Patel who struck couple of timely fours in the penultimate over. Andre Russell got himself injured and with 7 to defend in the last over, he did his best only to fall short. RCB might have won but they will have more questions than answers. Sherfane Rutherford scored 28 of 40 balls and Shahbaz Ahmed also 27 runs of 20 balls. For KKR Tim Southee pick 3 wickets for 20 runs in his 4 overs quota.
