RR beat SRH by 61 runs-cricketmovie.com

Tata IPL: RR beat SRH by 61 runs in the 5th game of IPL 2022. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

5th game (Gujarat Titans Vs Lucknow Super Giants)
Game Date: 29th March 2022
Details:
Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to bowl first in the 5th game of IPL 2022 against Rajasthan Royals at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.

Rajasthan Royals scored 210/6 in their 20 overs. Looks a strong total, although the ball seems to be coming on well. Padikkal says it’s a bit sticky, we shall see how SRH go on it. One thing’s for certain is that the bowling wasn’t great. Some real freebies out there from the likes of Shepherd, Umran Malik and Natarajan in those middle overs, while Sundar found no help from the pitch and was taken down by Samson. Great start to the season for the RR captain today. And a great flourish from Hetmyer towards the end too. Skipper Sanju Samson scored 55 of 27 balls and Devdutt Padikkal scored 41 of 29 balls. For GT Umran Malik & T natarajan pick 2 wickets each.

Sunrisers Hyderabad unable to chased down the target and scored only 149/7 in their 20 overs and lost the game by 61 runs. RR become the first team to win by batting first. They plundered 210 with the bat and that aided them to defend it with elan. The top five of RR got starts with their skipper Samson getting a fifty which was laced with 5 sixes. SRH bowlers couldn’t hit the right straps and gave away far too many. RR then started amazingly well with the ball striking with the new ball and pegging back the run rate. At the half way mark of the second innings, it was known that RR would win. The margin though was sliced down as Markram waged a lone battle towards the end and Sundar played a stupendous cameo. RR bowlers especially Krishna and Chahal were bang on the mark and were rewarded with wickets. Boult and Ashwin also completed the rout by bowling frugal overs. Aiden Markram scored 57* of 41 balls and Washington Sundar also scored 40 of 14 balls. For RR Yuzvendra Chahal pick 3 wickets for 22 runs in his 4 overs quota.
