31st Game (Kolkata Knight Riders Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore)
Game Date: 20th September 2021
Details:
Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first in the 31st game of IPL 2021 against Kolkata Knight Riders. Their four foreign players of this game are AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, Kyle Jamieson and Wanindu Hasaranga.. Hasarnaga and KS Bharat is debuting for RCB from this game.

Venkatesh Iyer is debuting for Kolkata Knight Riders. Their four foreign players of this game are Eoin Morgan, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell and Lockie Ferguson..

Royal Challengers Bangalore bowled out for 92 runs in 19 overs. Brilliant from KKR awful from RCB ! They never got going after opting to bat. Kohli fell to an in-nipper immediately after playing a lovely shot. Devdutt Padikkal tried to be too cute and perished off the final ball of the powerplay. KS Bharat on debut, in a bid to up the ante played a high-risk shot and got out tamely. At 51/3, the two men who powered RCB to a massive total against KKR in the first leg joined hands. However, Dre Russ cleaned up AB for a golden duck with a searing yorker and Varun Chakravarthy accounted for Maxwell. Russell and Chakravarthy picked three wickets apiece and the latter showed why he’s been selected for the T20 World Cup. Sunil Narine was the only one to go wicketless but he compensated that with an economical spell. KKR will not only fancy to chase this down but also wrap it up quickly. Devdutt Padikkal scored 22 of 20 balls and Srikar Bharat scored 16 of 19 balls. For KKR Russell and Chakravarthy pick 3 wickets each.

Kolkata Knight Riders chased down the target successfully by scoring 94/1 in just 10 overs. A match to forget for RCB where everything just went off the rails. This is one of the heaviest defeats in IPL history in terms of balls to spare. Only four times has any team won with more overs left than KKR’s 10 today. It can happen though. It’s only the start of a whole new leg of the tournament one where RCB are still very well placed. And they would’ve been confident coming into this one, given their recent record over KKR. But it all fell apart today after winning the toss. Bowled out for just 92, before Gill and Iyer hammered those runs down. Shubman Gill scored 48 of 34 balls and Venkatesh Iyer scored 41* of 27 balls. For RCB Chahal pick only wicket of KKR.
