In this post, I am sharing the Confirmed list of Web-series and Movies releasing in June 2021 on OTT and Cinemas. When situation started to seem better and filmmakers decided to release films in theatres, the number of coronavirus cases in the country have started to rise, again. This has further compelled makers to rethink releasing their films in theatres. Some of them have already delayed the releases.
Many movies postponed again because Second Wave of Covid-19 is spreading twice faster than first wave & I don’t think so it will get restrained anytime soon. In that case Film-makers will again head towards OTT for release of their films. Shamshera starring Ranbir Kapoor and F9: The Fast Saga starring Vin Diesel was planned to release on 25th June seems pushed further due to current scenario.
For audiences OTT platforms are like a cinema halls after the lockdown, they are enjoying different contents in form of movies and web-series on different platforms. It is almost certain audiences will get more movies and web-series on OTT due to current situation and they can watch per their choices onwards.
Here I am sharing entire list of movies and web-series releasing this month:
1. The Family Man 2 (Web-series)
Release date: 4th June 2021 (Amazon Prime Video)
Cast: Manoj Bajpayee, Samantha Akkineni, Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Sunny Hinduja, Sharad Kelkar, Darshan Kumaar, Dalip Tahil, VipinKumar A Sharma, Seema Biswas, Asif Sattar Basra

Details: This is one of the most awaited web-series on OTT which is finally releasing on 4th June. Earlier it scheduled to release on 12th Feb 2021 but due to controversies released date pushed further. This time Srikant Tiwari is ready for another mission.
2. Loki (Web-series)
Release date: 9th June 2021 (Disney Plus Hotstar VIP)
Cast: Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sasha Lane and Wunmi Mosaku
Director: Kate Herron
Details: The series takes place after the events of the film Avengers Endgame (2019), in which an alternate version of Loki created a new timeline. Loki is brought to the mysterious Time Variance Authority organization after stealing the Tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), and travels through time altering human history using it, ending up trapped in his own crime thriller.
Note: There are total 6 Episodes and each episodes will release every Wednesday.
3. Indori Ishq (Web-series)
Release date: 10th June 2021 (MX Player)
Cast: Ritvik Sahore, Vedika Bhandari, Aashay Kulkarni, Dheer Hira, Donna Munshi, Tithi Raaj and Meera Joshi
Director: Samit Kakkad
Details: The story begins with amusing attempts of twelfth-grader, Kunal, to woo his classmate, Tara. Kunal finally manages to propose to Tara and their love story begins. After his schooling, Kunal leaves Indore and moves to Mumbai to join a Naval College. Soon his sober life turns upside-down when Tara dumps him for someone else. In no time, Kunal turns into an alcoholic and chain smoker, and without taking admission in the naval college, he moves to a weird rundown room in Darukhana, spending days doing nothing but drinking, smoking, and missing Tara. Will Kunal ever move on from Tara? Or will this be a heart-wrenching story of a one-sided lover?
4. Sunflower (Web-series)
Release date: 11th June 2021 (Zee5 Premium)
Cast: Sunil Grover, Ranvir Shorey, Ashish Vidyarthi, Shonali Nagrani and Ria Nalavade

Details: It is story of a simpleton resident Sonu who dives headlong into a murder mystery that happens in a housing society and later he becomes the chief suspect.
5. Skater Girl (Movie)
Release date: 11th June 2021 (Netflix)
Cast: Rachel Sanchita Gupta, Shafin Patel, Amrit Maghera, Jonathan Readwin and Waheeda Rehman
Director: Manjari Makijany
Details: When a teen in rural India discovers a life-changing passion for skateboarding, she faces a rough road as she follows her dream to compete.
6. Shaadisthan (Movie)
Release date: 11th June 2021 (Disney Plus Hotstar VIP)
Cast: Kriti Kulhari, Kay Kay Menon and Nivedita Bhattacharya
Director: Raj Singh Chaudhary
Details: It’s a story of two contrasting worlds which come together during a road trip from Mumbai to Ajmer.
7. Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (Movie)
Release date: 16th June 2021 (Cinemas)
Cast: Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek, Antonio Banderas and Morgan Freeman
Director: Patrick Hughes
Details: The world’s most lethal odd couple bodyguard Michael Bryce and hitman Darius Kincaid are back on another life-threatening mission. Still unlicensed and under scrutiny, Bryce is forced into action by Darius’s even more volatile wife, the infamous international con artist Sonia Kincaid . 8. Sherni (Movie)

Director: Amit Masurkar
Details: A jaded forest officer leads a team of trackers and locals intending to capture an unsettled tigress, while battling intense obstacles and pressures, both natural and man-made.
9. Jagame Thandhiram (Movie)
Release date: 18th June 2021 (Netflix)
Cast: Dhanush, Aishwarya Lekshmi, James Cosmo, Kalaiyarasan Harikrishnan and Joju George
Director: Karthik Subbaraj
Details: The film tells the story of Suruli, a reckless gangster from Madurai who has to choose between good and evil in a war for what one can truly call home.
10. Grahan (Web-Series)
Release date: 24th June 2021 (Disney Plus Hotstar VIP)
Cast: Zoya Hussain, Anshumaan Pushkar, Pavan Malhotra and

Details: Series is based 1984 riots and it’s investigation in current time. Abhi kabhi ek sach ke peeche kayi jhooth chhupe hote hain.
11. Ray (Web-series)
Release date: 25th June 2021 (Netflix)
Cast: Manoj Bajpayee. Ali Fazal, Radhika Madan, Gajraj Rao, Bidita Bag, Shweta Basu Prasad and Chandan Roy Sanyal
Director: Abhishek Chaubey
Details: It is an anthology based on Satyajit Ray’s stories
12. Puncch Beat Season 2 (Web-series)
Release date: 27th June 2021 (ALT Balaji)
Cast: Priyank Sharma, Siddharth Sharma, Samyuktha Hegde, Harshita Gaur and Khushi Joshi
Director: Akshay Chaubey
Details: The Rosewoodians return with the tales of dosti-yaari, piping hot romance aur ek dark twist!
But what’s gonna happen jab yeh rivalry ka competition turns deadly?
NOTE: Ranbir Kapoor starrer Shamshera and Vin Diesel starrer F9: The Fast Saga is slated to release on 25th June 2021 but due to current situation there is high chance that movie will postponed again hence I have not included this film. This is confirmed list till 11th June and will add more movie and web-series once confirmed for release.
