MI beat SRH by 13 runs-cricketmovie.com

Vivo IPL: MI beat SRH by 13 runs in 9th game of IPL 2021. Now I will share the details of this IPL game match in my way.

9th Game (Mumbai Indians Vs Sunrisers Hyderabad)
Game Date: 17th April 2021
Details:
Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first in the 9th game of IPL 2021. MI included Kieron Pollard, Trent Boult, Quinton de Kock and Adam Milne as four foreign players for this game. Adam Milne is making his debut in this team and replaced Marco Jensen.

SRH made four changes in their playing XI and included Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Khaleel Ahmed, Abhishek Sharma and Virat Singh in place of Jason Holder, T Natarajan, Wriddhiman Saha and Shahbaz Nadeem. Their Four foreign players of for this game was David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman.

Mumbai Indians scored 150/5 in their 20 overs. Until the last two balls, SRH had done a mighty fine job in restricting the Mumbai Indians, but could the last two balls been any better from Bhuvneshwar? And what about Vijay Shankar, who dropped a dolly earlier in the piece? Things to ponder over for them if they’d to chase down 151. It’s still at best a par score and they’d believe that they have it in them to chase down this total. Rohit was off in some style, making the most of good batting conditions, with the ball still fairly new. But Vijay Shankar pulled things back a bit, then the spinners came to the fore as MI stalled in the middle overs. It suddenly looked like a difficult pitch to bat as de Kock and Ishan Kishan struggled. So did Pollard until that last two balls, which has given his team some breathing space. Quinton de Kock scored 40 of 39 balls and Kieron Pollard scored 35* of 22 balls. For SRH Mujeeb And Shankar pick 2 wickets each.

Sunrisers Hyderabad unable to chase the target and all out for 137 in 19.4 overs and lost the game by 13 runs. They got off to a blistering start through Bairstow and Warner too got a start. It seemed a cruise for the first 6-7 overs of the game but as has been the norm in recent games, SRH started losing the plot to the older, softer ball on a slow deck. Mind you, there was dew today, unlike the other two games, but chasing was still hard. And Mumbai, well, they did what they are habituated doing, coming back from behind to startle the opposition. SRH’s frustration continues, as they are winless this season. Jonny Bairstow scored 43 runs 22 balls and skipper David Warner scored 36 in 34 balls. For MI Chahar and Boult picks 3 wickets each.

MI: 150/5 in 20 overs
SRH: 137 all out in 19.4 overs

Result: Mumbai Indians won by 13 runs.
Man of the Match: Kieron Pollard

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : Congratulations to MI for their 2nd win in a row and become No.1 in the points table. Not a total MI expected to put on board after batting first but small contributions helped him to par total. Today again its about their bowlers who adopt the situation and don’t lose nerves as SRH was excellent in first 10 overs after that Rahul Chahar and main frontline bowlers again proved their worth and won the game for the team.

For SRH bowling is never concern in any season because they have best bowling attack as compare to other teams but team don’t have finishers who can finish the game. Today again at one time it looks like they will win the gam easily but their middle order woes continue and lost the game three in a row. I think SRH need to include Kane Williamson and Kedar Jadhav in the playing XI to strong their batting unit.

Stats
– Of the ten 50+ scores by Manish in the last four seasons, eight have resulted in SRH defeats.

Manish Pandey has batted 30+ balls 14 times in the last four seasons (since 2018) – SRH have ended up losing 11 of them.

Hardik Pandya has scored only 89 runs against SRH in 8 innings, at a strike rate of 80.91

That’s all from 9th game of the IPL 2021 and hope you all will like this information.
