Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss in the 2nd test against England and decided to bat first at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Team India included Kuldeep Yadav and debutant Axar Patel in the playing XI in place of Washington Sundar and Shahbaz Nadeem.

Team India scored 300/6 on day 1 stumps. Rohit Sharma scored brilliant century for his team while Jack Leach and Moeen Ali pick 2 wickets each for England

England bowled out for just 134 runs in their first innings and India get a big lead of 195 runs in the first innings. Ben Foakes scored 42* and Ollie Pope scored 22 runs. For India Ravichandran Ashwin pick 5 wickets.

Team India are in very strong position as they scored 54/1 in their 2nd innings and now they have lead of 249 runs with 9 wickets.

Day 3.
India bowled out for massive 286 runs in their 2nd innings and set the mammoth target of 482 runs to England. Ravichandran Ashwin scored 106 runs and skipper Virat Kohli scored 62 runs. Moeen Ali pick 4 wickets for his team.

England scored 53/3 in 19 overs at the end of day 3 and still they need 429 runs to win this test match and Team India need just 7 wickets to win this test and level this series.
