Jeet Ki Zid Web Series Review: Thanks Zee5 and makers to showing us Major Deependra Singh Sengar’s tale of bravery and his undying spirit
Jeet Ki Zid Web Series Review: 4 stars
Just watched Jeet Ki Zid web series on Zee5 Premium. So let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this web series.
Cast: Amit Sadh, Sushant Singh, Amrita Puri and Aly Goni
Director: Vishal Mangalorkar
Release Date: 22nd Jan 2021 (On Zee5 Premium)
Duration: 7 Episodes/ 40 Minutes
Story: Show is about the grit and determination of real life hero Major Deependra Singh Sengar who was wounded badly in the Kargil war with Pakistan. Just when it seemed that he could well be relegated to a wheel chair for the rest of his life, he undertook a long journey that not just saw him rise all over again but also finish his MBA study and rise up the corporate ladder. His never-give-up attitude overcomes tough challenges and turns the impossible into possible.
Series begins with Deep (Amit Sadh) diving deep into the sea. As he manages to stay under-water for a long period of time, we get glimpses of how Deep faces hurdles during his school days, the way his elder brother Rajat motivates him and the hardcore training that he undergoes to become a Special Forces Officer. The first chapter of Jeet Ki Zid and the story gradually moves forward to a mission led by Deep.
Although his Commanding Officer Ranjeet Chowdhary (Sushant Singh) orders him to not go ahead with the mission, Deep goes against him and takes it upon himself and his surveillance squad to rescue tourists from the clutches of terrorists in Kashmir. Even though he successfully completes the mission with his team, Deep ends up getting severely injured. Side by side, the story goes back in time, and we get to know the reason why Deep joined Special Forces and decided to serve the country.
How life took a U-turn for Sengar, after he lost his brother in a terrorist attack in Kashmir, on their family vacation. How he joined the Army only to serve the nation and make sure no more innocent lives are sacrificed by militant groups. Then, during a mission in Kargil war he gets shot 5 times and loses his ability to walk ever again. And how he overcomes that disability too with his will power, only to stand on his feet once again with the support of his wife Jaya (Amrita Puri) and friend Surya (Aly Goni).

2. Cinematography

4. Direction
5. Music
6. Screenplay
Negatives
1. Could have better 2nd part

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I had watched the trailer it looks very inspiring and motivating. It is based on true story and always planned to watch this series.
He is someone who hasn’t got up on his feet ever since he was hit by five bullets on the nature field. He has been on a wheel chair ever since. A few years gone by. He wakes up one (not so) fine day. To his horror, the wheel chair is missing. Instead, there is a pair of crutches around. He needs to lift himself to each the crutches. Even difficult is to pull his own body weight against the gravity and stand up. He tries that. Fails. Tries again. Struggles to get a grip. Grunts. Moans. Tries again. The struggle continues. He doesn’t give up. Eventually he manages.
That’s the whole story of this series. In a nutshell, it’s a must-watch war drama that salutes the soldiers, their determination and the families who support them unconditionally. My view on this web series (Highly Recommended)
