Gullak Season 2 Web Series Review: A perfect feel good show that will connect with every middle class family
Gullak Season 2 Web Series Review: 4 stars

Just watched Gullak Season 2 web series on Sony LIV. So let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this web series.

Cast: Jameel Khan, Gitanjali Kulkarni, Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Harsh Mayar and Sunita Rajawar
Director: Palash Vaswani
Release Date: 15th Jan 2021 (On Sony LIV)
Duration: 5 Episodes/ 30 Minutes

Story: Gullak is back with the Mishra family that comprises husband Santosh Mishra (Jameel Khan), wife Shanti Mishra (Geetanjali Kulkarni) and their two children. The elder son Annu (Vaibhav Raj Gupta), is struggling with his career, especially after failing in SSC test, while the younger son, Aman (Harsh Mayar) is preparing for his board exams. Together they create an outline for the middle-class families of India.

It has all from the head of the family who fights his inner demons to say no to an extra dose of ‘suvidha shulk (bribe)’, to a housewife who has her own ways to make both ends meet each day. Annu who had failed in his attempt to clear a crucial government exam the last time round, is scurrying about and trying to look important. Aman is pretending to study hard for his tenth standard exam.

Each member comes with their own bundle of aspirations and struggles, defining their lives. Voice of Shivankit Singh Parihar (Gullak) goes well running at the frequent interval. Sunita Rajwar as the troubling neighbor is brilliant as usual. It has a couple of new hillocks to scale, including an invitation for a family wedding that bruises his ego.

Positives
1. Jameel Khan and other stars superlative performance
2. Cinematography
3. Story
4. Direction
5. Dialogues
6. Screenplay

Negatives
1. Repetitive In Parts
2. Climax
3. Predictable

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I had watched the trailer it looks very connecting as it is story of every middle class family and it was always in my watch list.

Although I have not watched the first season but loved the season completely. I personally relate myself with this series because during my board I was also focused on cricket so much instead of study. I have also purchased the household items for my family too so overall I remembered many childhood memories with this show.

Season two of Gullak is another set of events occurring in the Mishra family who embody middle-class Indian families. Each episode showcases a different yet instantly identifiable issue. They are bonded with the tissue of emotion and drama. It will make you believe and adore your family even more after watching. It is a fun ride all the way. My view on this web series (Highly Recommended)
