Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari Movie Review: Decision to wait for this movie to release on OTT was worth as it’s only good in parts

Just watched Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari movie on Zee5 Premium. So let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this movie.

Story: Movie was already released in cinemas in last year Diwali and today it premieres on OTT for the first time on Zee5 Premium as it is produced by Zee Studios.
In 1995, Suraj Singh Dhillon (Diljit Dosanjh) living with his father Gurnaam Dhillon (Manoj Pahwa), mother Yeshodha Dhillon (Seema Pahwa) and sister Guddi (Vanshika Sharma) and they are owner of Jai Mata Rani Doodh Bhandar which is run by Suraj. His parents are looking for a right match but their efforts are futile.
Suraj’s sidekick Sukhi (Manuj Sharma) tells him to be cool and bad boy so it would help attract girls. He did the same meanwhile his parents find the match but girl parents rejected the proposal because they had already seen his bad avtar. Suraj is dejected and is dying to know who clicked his pictures after all. After cajoling the Pandit Dubey ji (Neeraj Sood), he gets to know that it’s none other than Madhu Mangal Rane (Manoj Bajpayee), a wedding detective.
Suraj believes it’s his job to find flaws in the to-be grooms and thus save the lives of gullible girls and their families. He wants revenge but doesn’t know how. He then realizes that Mangal has a sister, Tulshi Rane (Fatima Sana Shaikh). He falls for her and expresses his love to Tulshi. She however is hiding a shocking secret about her life and passion. This secret gives Suraj the much needed opportunity to damage Mangal’s reputation. At the same time, it can also dent his marriage prospects with Tulshi. What happens next forms the rest of the film.

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : > When I watched the trailer it looks very interesting and due to pandemic unable to watch this movie in theatre but today after watching it on OTT realized that decision to not watch this movie in theatre was very good.
Not because movie is very bad but it’s as good as expected it to be due to super star cast. First half is excellent but 2nd half bored me because it become normal Bollywood movie scenes which I have watched a lot before this one. Some scene and concept is so illogical that you can’t even laugh on it.
But still if you have Manoj Bajpayee in a family film then you can definitely watch it once if you have not watched this one in theatre. My View on this movie Time Pass!!
