Now I am going to share day-to-day activity of this test match with all the details, records and milestones in my way.

Day 1.
Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne won the toss in the 2nd and final test against South Africa and decided to bat first at The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.

Sri Lanka were bowled out for just 157 runs in their first innings. Kusal Perera scored 60 runs and Wanindu Hasaranga scored 29 runs. For South Africa Anrich Nortje pick 6 wickets.

South Africa scored 148/1 at the end of Day 1 stumps and they are now just trail by 9 runs with 9 wickets in hand. Dean Algar remain unbeaten on 92* runs.

Day 2.
South Africa bowled out for 302 in their first innings and get the lead of 145 runs. Dean Elgar scored 127 runs and Rassie van der Dussenscored 67 runs. For Sri Lanka Vishwa Fernando pick 5 wickets.

Sri Lanka scored 150/4 in their 2nd innings at the end of day 2 stumps and they have just lead of 5 runs with 6 wickets in hand. Skipper Dimuth Karunaratne remain unbeaten on 91* runs.

Stats
– 4000 Test runs for Dean Elgar and he is only the tenth South Africa batsman to reach the mark.

– 184-run stand between Dean Elgar and Rassie van der Dussen is the highest for the second-wicket in all Sri Lanka vs South Africa test matches.

Day 3.
Sri Lanka bowled out for just 211 runs in their 2nd innings and now South Africa need only 67 runs to win this test match and series. Dimuth Karunaratne scored 103 runs and Niroshan Dickwella scored 36 runs. For South Africa Lungi Ngidi pick 4 wickets.

South Africa won the 2nd and final test by 10 wickets after chasing scoring 67/0 in their 2nd innings.

SL: 157 and 211
SA: 302 and 67/0

Stats
Kushal Mendis becomes the second specialist batsman to bag three consecutive ducks in BOTH Tests AND ODIs (he did so in 2018) after Ricky Ponting who achieved both the dubious feats in 1999/00 home season.
