Laxmii Movie Review: One of the worst remake of a south Indian movie

Just watched Laxmii movie on Disney Plus Hotstar VIP. So let’s analyze the cast, release date, story, positive/negatives and at last my personal view on this movie.

Story: This horror-comedy is remake of the 2011 Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana. The film revolves around Asif, who is scared to venture outside gets possessed by a ghost and starts behaving weirdly.
Asif (Akshay Kumar) and Rashmi (Kiara Advani) are a happily married couple who have adopted Asif’s nephew because Asif’s brother and sister-in-law are no more. He hates all talk of ghosts and spirits because he does not believe in ghosts. Rashmi’s father (Rajesh Sharma) has not accepted as they had eloped and gotten married.
Rashmi’s mother (Ayesha Raza Mishra) insists her to come Daman to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary promising to make the father accept Asif. Rashmi also has a brother, Deepak (Manu Rishi Chadha) whose wife is Ashwini (Ashwini Kalsekar).Everything seems to be going well, till Asif gets possessed by a vengeful spirit. He starts behaving oddly and things go downhill from there for all concerned
It emerges that the spirit of Laxmi (Sharad Kelkar), a eunuch, has entered Asif’s body. What is the back story of Laxmi? Why is Laxmi’s spirit so restless? Does Asif help Laxmi’s soul get mukti? This is all about this movie

Durgesh Tiwary’s View : When I watched the trailer its looks it was not good at all because expectation was very high and even it was ready to clash with Salman Khan movie “Radhe” on Eid weekend. Now I must say that Akshay Kumar is very lucky that due to Covid-19 clash didn’t happened as it would have been big loss to every one who is associated with this movie.
Except from Bam Bholle Song and excellent acting by Akshay Kumar and Sharad Kelkar as transgender is positive point of this movie. One of worst remake ever made south Indian movie. My views on this movie is SKIP IT
