Today Netflix biggest announcement is made to release as many as 12 movies and 5 web series to release on their platform. About one and half month ago, Disney plus hotstar announced 7 Bollywood movies to release on their platform including few most anticipated movies (LaxxmiBomb and Bhuj:ThePrideOfIndia) of the year. Now it will be interesting which digital platform audiences are preferring.
This is first time in history of OTT any digital platforms have announced these no of movies in advance without confirming their release dates. From thrillers to romantic comedies to lighthearted dramas, this unparalleled and diverse collection of entertaining stories will launch on Netflix in coming months.
Here are the list of movies, which all are announce by Netflix:
1. Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl
Cast: Janhvi Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi, Vinneet Kumar, Manav Viz, Ayesha Raza Mishra.
Director: Sharan Sharma
Details: It is real life story of Gunjan Saxena one of India’s first female combat aviators to be posted in Kargil during the 1999 war. Karan Johar produces this movie.
2. Raat Akeli Hai
Cast: Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte, Aditya Srivastava, lla Arun, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Shweta Tripathi, Nishant Dahiya.
Director: Honey Trehan
Details: This crime thriller is set in the Uttar Pradesh of 1980s, and is about the journey of a man from a rookie cop to an experienced police officer.
3. Ludo
Cast: Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pearle Maaney, Pankaj
Tripathi, Rohit Saraf.
Details: It was earlier supposed to be sequel of Life in a metro film, but later director Anurag Basu clarifies that it is not a sequel.
4. Torbaaz
Cast: Sanjay Dutt, Nargis Fakhri, Rahul Dev
Director: Girish Malik
Details: It was one of the first or probably the first Hindi film to shot in Kyrgyzstan. It is set in the Afghanistan city of Kabul and deals with the issue of child suicide bombers.
5. Dolly Kitty Aur Wo Chamakte Sitare
Cast: Bhumi Pednekar, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vikrant Massey, Amol Parashar

6. Ginny Weds Sunny

Details: It was shoot in real-life locations in Delhi and in places like Ghaziabad, Noida, Karnal and Manali. The light-hearted flick is about Ginny and Sunny, who meet for a marital alliance, but she rejects him. Sunny then teams up with the mother, who becomes his love guru, and they together try to woo Ginny.
7. Class of 83
Cast: Bobby Deol, Bhupendra Jadawat, Hitesh Bhojraj
Director: Atul Sabharwal
Details: Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment produces this movie. The film is a drama that revolves around the reunion of a batch that passed out in the year 1983.
8. Tribhanga: Tedhi Medhi Crazy
Cast: Kajol, Tanzi Azmi, Mithila Palkar
Director: Renuka Shahane
Details: Movie is produce by Ajay Devgn and story is about three generation of a family.
9. AKvsAk
Cast: Anil Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap

Details: Movie is about a brash film director who kidnaps the daughter of a well-known movie star. Anil’s son Harsh Varrdhan will also have a cameo in this film. This is the only film in the list, which was always going to release directly on Netflix and it was never plan for a theatrical run.
